what does it mean “lunar down”?
what happened during our latest collective dream?

Let me talk about our moon-landing…
We were together in one body as well as together we have gone through a catastrophe that apparently deprived us of breath, sleep, freedom. We saw the Moon that, as it fell to earth, crumbled into millions of pieces awakened with a start, but we understood that we were not safe
really in the world we were living in, viral mirror.

This is why it is important to live today, to exorcise the past, to project oneself into the future in which we are already immersed.

Last night the circle of the crescent moon resting on the head,
a torch from above illuminated the progress,
the lips were silent
a rediscovered Selene, a contemporary Enḫeduanna, a daily priestess teared apart the raw earth with her bare hands to then shape Moon that will return to our lives…

How will be your new Moon be?
Starting from the lunar ray in proportion, I have thus built 35 raw earth tiles (30×30 cm each) made
by hand. I placed them in the square of the Fornace Cioni Alderighi, heart of the Tuscan event, and
at 10 pm, dressed as contemporary Selene complete with ceramic horns, I violently destroyed them
and then reassembled them in a lighthouse (with a diameter of 3.476 cm proportion): this was the “new” moon. The performance was lightning-fast unlike my usual long-running projects; and as always happens it will not end here: the synthesis artwork will be made starting from those colored and baked fragments that will be part of the work that will be acquired from the collection of the Museo della Ceramica di Montelupo and for this too I am happy and grateful to the wonderful women who believed in my dream (Ivana Antonini, Benedetta Falteri and Aglaia Viviani).
